Pete regularly perform at the Botanist in Newcastle city centre. It opened its doors in November 2015 and has Rapidly gained a reputation for being the place to be seen, attracting local celebrities and premiership Footballers. It presents live Music everyday, serves the most exotic cocktails and the food is terrific!! Pete plays a mix of original material and acoustic versions of classic hits

Mrs Beckett are a brand new band playing all original material written by Jim Kitson guitar vocals. Pete is on Bass and we have Dave Pipkin on drums. The band play red raw rock and roll! with an AC/DC, ZZ Top, Dr Feelgood vibe. Songs with great hooks and a tight powerful sound. See you after the lockdown!!

Pete lives and works in the North East of England. He trained in Drama at Newcastle College and has worked both as an actor and musician for the last 30 years. He was a founder member of the Northern Stage Ensemble based at Newcastle Playhouse under the direction of Alan Lyddiard and Neil Murray, and for 15 years appeared in many of their Productions, touring nationally and internationally. He then spent 3 years at the Royal Shakespeare Company as part of their long ensemble performing in Stratford, London and New York. He is perhaps best known in the North east for his association with Bobby Thompson; The Little Waster. His One man show, telling Bobby's life story, has toured to all of the major theatres in the area and will return to Newcastle Theatre Royal in March 2018. His TV credits include Emmerdale, Byker Grove, Spender, and the film Harrigan with Stephen Tomlinson.
Music has always been a massive part of Pete's work. He has worked on Many Actor/Musician shows as well as fronting bands, performing solo cabaret gigs, and intimate acoustic performances. His original music has a country /folk feel with wide variety of songwriting influences including Springsteen, Chris Stapleton and Billy Joel. Vocal influences range from Don Henley, Bono, Zac Brown and Steve Perry to the masters Ottis Reading and Sam Cooke. Pete is busy working on New material, developing his songwriting and gigging throughout the year.
